Since 1906 the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have provided a safe place where kids can go after school and on weekends to participate in youth programs and activities. The clubs are designed to give kids in need a productive and positive outlet and fun way to spend free time. Every club has full-time, trained professionals and offers programs such as leadership development, health and life skills, fitness and recreation facilities, and hands-on exposure to visual, performing and literary arts. For more information, visit their website at http://www.bgca.org/.
In addition to our company support of BGCA, our staff members support a number of local charities. We invite you to inquire about these organizations and encourage you to volunteer in your own communities.
Once again, the CD-DATA Team will join efforts with other local participants in the Annual Race for the Cure on May 10, 2008 at Cal-Expo in Sacramento. The Komen Race for the Cure Series – which began in 1983 with just over 800 participants – has grown to the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer. There are races in over 100 cities and an estimate 1.3 million participants. CD-DATA is proud to participate in the Komen effort to raise needed funds for research, clinical trials, and local outreach programs. If you would like more information or join the CD-DATA Team, please contact us at marketing@cd-data.com.
Paul Cowdery, CD-DATA's Senior Account Manager, is President of the Holiday Lake Community Service District. He serves his community by managing the district's assets and assuring compliance with county, state and federal laws. The Holiday Lake CSD plays an important role in the environmental protection in El Dorado County while promoting the health and welfare of neighborhood residents.
Through his participation with the local non-profit organization Reconciliation Singers Voices of Peace (R.S.V.P.), Grant Mulligan, President of CD-DATA, helps raise thousands of dollars for local charities such as Meals on Wheels, the Sacramento Children's Home, and Placer Adult Literacy Service.
